Award winning photographer Illam Hamood was born in Yemen but has spent most of her life in Liverpool. The city has informed a lot of her work, including her depiction of the lives of asylum seekers and refugees. Northside were briefed to design and build a site which would showcase her photographs. We kept it simple: a clean and simple design was most effective in keeping the focus on her work and highlighting the power of her photographs.
